No. V of 14 deluxe signed copies. Rorer's Skunk Cabbage was selected by the Hunt Institute for their 14th International Exhibition of Botanical Art & Illustration. Printed by Michael Russem of Kat Ran Press, with side notes in green. Iris Nevins created the green and brown marbled paper to suggest the teeming life of a vernal pool. Binding by Barbara Blumenthal. Rorer lives not far from Thoreau’s Concord, Massachusetts home; and the engravings are based on the landscape and pools that Thoreau explored and the similar landscape that surrounds the artist’s home.
