Claire Van Vliet's illustrations are original digital prints printed on Barcham Green Flaxen paper, using an Epson printer. Boulders, sea, and sky in black, grey, & white are powerful images. The last beach print has golden sand; the book ends with a golden sun. Printed letterpress at the Janus Press from polymer plates on various colors of handmade papers, in several sizes. Hume's poems are in English, with occasional Maori phrases. Keri Hume's novel "The Bone People" won the New Zealand Book Award for Fiction in 1894 and the Booker Prize in 1985. These poems were first published in 1982. No. 22 of 120 copies signed by Hume and Van Vliet.
