This binding was executed for the Bookbinding 2000 Symposium auction at the Cary Graphic Arts Library at RIT.Stamp-signed in gilt. Monique Lallier was one of the presenters at this gathering to honor Bernard Middleton, whose bookbinding collection went to RIT. Lallier is renowned for her design bindings, which often incorporate non-traditional objects and always reflect the text. A retrospective of her bindings was recently published.
