"Advertising Abstractions by Al Schiller.".
NY, 1963. Ten drawings are on Roger Smith Hotel paper place mats (9) and on a paper napkin (1). The title is hand written with pink magic marker on a piece of shiny white stock. The 10 sketches are numbered and signed AS; some are dated. Each is taped to a larger piece of cardboard. There's a reduced photographic print of each. The old tape is yellowed & curling; overall very good.
Plus 5 more original abstract pen sketches. Two of these are titled: "Chaos" and "Board Chairman. Agency President; Exec. V. P."
Schiller had been executing Abstractions since about 1940. Some were colored inks, such as these; others crayon or India ink. Some were mounted on wood and glazed. Item #3191

These frazzled caricatures are quite different from Schiller's famous elaborate type pictures formed from thousands of pieces of metal type. But they are somewhat similar to his paintings.
