The second comprehensive American printer's manual, and the first American edition of Johnson. Mostly an abridgment of Johnson's Typographia of 1824, scattered footnotes added to the text. The Appendix (pages 295-316) contains new material covering presses, several with full page illustrations, and other printing equipment. Very rare on the market with no auction records.
